Pipeline Framework: General Medical Services – Alston Medical Practice

A pipeline has been launched for General Medical Services – Alston Medical Practice.The contract start Date is 1 April 2023. Approach to market date is 1 April 2022.NHS North Cumbria Clinical Commissioning Group intend to procure GP Services for the population of Alston, North Cumbria in line with relevant legislation.Alston Medical Practice is a rural dispensing practice, attached to the Ruth Lancaster James Community Hospital to a registered population of 2,241 (weighted population 3,012.07) as of October 2021.It is anticipated that engagement with the market for delivery of future services will commence in April 2022, with new services to be delivered from 01 April 2023.This is a potential opportunity from the government, and the pipeline gives advance notice of an opportunity that might be offered by the public sector in the future – allowing potential suppliers to plan accordingly.
