A pipeline has been launched for Home to School Transport for Slough Borough Council 2022-23.The contract start Date is 1 September 2022. Approach to market date is 1 June 2022.This notice is to make the market aware of Slough Borough Council’s intention with regard to the provision of home to school transport services for the school year 2022/23.The Council intends in June 2022 to tender these services via its dynamic purchasing system for such services. Organisations wishing to tender for these services must be approved to participate in the competition by making a successful request to participate in the system by no later than 17th May 2022. The dynamic purchasing system can be found at . Providers already successfully registered on the dynamic purchasing system need not reapply. The Council intends to run the competition for services in June 2022. Suppliers should be aware that the Council intends to tender for each route separately i.e. the bids for each route will be assessed separately. Suppliers may therefore bid for more routes than they have capacity i.e. you may bid for more routes than you have vehicles (of the correct type) and drivers. The Council intends to use an optimisation technique to minimise its costs across the routes in line with the bids made and identified capacity. The Council intends to hold a market engagement event in relation to the tender of services on 25th May 2022. Please register your interest with craig.lorne@slough.gov.ukThis is a potential opportunity from the government, and the pipeline gives advance notice of an opportunity that might be offered by the public sector in the future – allowing potential suppliers to plan accordingly. When a public sector organisation publishes a pipeline notice, it does not necessarily mean that an opportunity will be offered in the future. For more information contact: Slough Borough Council, Observatory House, 25 Windsor Road, Slough SL1 2EL.
