Pipeline Framework: Indian Army Memorial Room Redisplay

A pipeline has been launched for Indian Army Memorial Room RedisplayThe contract start Date is 12 August 2019. Approach to market date is 19 July 2019The National Army Museum wishes to appoint an Art Handling/installation and transport contractor for a two-phase de-install and install of paintings in the Indian Army Memorial Room (IAMR) at Royal Military Academy Sandhurst including some transportation to/from our store in Stevenage. Scope of Works:Phase 1 (see Annex A)To de-install 16 paintings and plaques from IAMR, pack and transport to NAM Store, Stevenage. We will provide 1 travel frame; all others can be soft wrapped.To de-install 16 paintings currently hanging in the corridor leading to IAMR, soft-wrap and return to NAM Store, Stevenage.To de-install 16 paintings currently hanging in IAMR, soft-wrap 14 and pack into modules (to be provided by contractor) and pack 2 into travel frames which will be provided by the museum. To deinstall 3 paintings currently hanging in the corridor leading to IAMR, soft-wrap and pack into modules (to be provided by the contractor) and then re-hang in IAMR as part of phase 2. To soft-wrap 1 large painting in-situ to remain on the wall in IAMR. Phase 2To pack and transport up to 55 framed oil paintings (see attached list – Annex B) from NAM Store, Stevenage to Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. 4 travel frames to be provided by the contractor, remaining works to be softwrapped.To pack and transport other 3D objects (see attached list – Annex C) from NAM Store, Stevenage to Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Approximately 5 large crates to be provided by the contractor. To install 74 paintings to a pre-agreed hanging plan at various heights up to 7 metres in the IAMR (55 works on Annex B + 19 works from Annex A).After install, return empty travel frames and packing to NAM Store, Stevenage.This is a potential opportunity from the government, and the pipeline gives advance notice of an opportunity that might be offered by the public sector in the future – allowing potential suppliers to plan accordingly.
