Pipeline Framework: Lancaster University – Engineering Building 2

A pipeline has been launched for Lancaster University – Engineering Building 2The contract start Date is 23 March 2020. Approach to market date is 05 August 2019The project comprises a stand alone turnkey new build research and teaching engineering building over three stories with a gross floor area of 2983m2. The accommodation is to house the chemical, mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines and is a highly serviced building with some of the accommodation requiring a strict level of vibration control. The building must achieve BREEAM Excellent and an EPC Grade A rating. The University seeks to appoint a Principal Contractor for the works under a single stage procurement route.It is planned that the contractor will mobilise in March 2020 and complete the project by 8th July 2021.Intended tender method: The University will publish documents 05/08/19 (target) inviting formal Expressions Of Interest (EOI) in the project before running a Closed Tender. The EOI documentation will be published on In-Tend (details below) and will include RIBA Stage 3 and programme information, and a copy of the University’s Special Conditions under JCT form of contract.
