Pipeline Framework: Negative Pressure Wound Therapy

A pipeline has been launched for Negative Pressure Wound Therapy. The contract start Date is 28 April 2021. Approach to market date is 06 July 2020.Therapeutic techniques using vacuum dressings and equipment to promote healing in chronic and acute wounds via both purchase and rental options.Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of 14 700 000 GBP to 15 640 000 GBP in the first year of this framework agreement however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the framework agreement.Estimated value over the total framework agreement term (including any extension options) will be in the region of 68 600 000 GBP to 72 800 000 GBP.NHS Supply Chain are exploring the possibility of 4 years plus 2 years framework agreement having a total term of 6 years.This is a potential opportunity from the government, and the pipeline gives advance notice of an opportunity that might be offered by the public sector in the future – allowing potential suppliers to plan accordingly.
