A pipeline has been launched for North Staffordshire & Stoke on Trent Minor Hand Surgery ServiceThe contract start Date is 01 April 2018. Approach to market date is 15 September 2017NHS North Staffordshire and NHS Stoke on Trent CCGs serve a registered population of approximately 502,000 people. The CCGs are considering the possible procurement of an Adult Community Minor Hand Surgery Service for the population of Northern Staffordshire, using a single provider route. The community based service shall provide high quality minor hand surgical procedures for Carpal Tunnel Decompression and Trigger Finger Release as part of the orthopaedic/musculoskeletal pathway.The overarching aims of the service are to provide:• A high quality, cost effective and patient centred surgical procedures for people with Carpal Tunnel and Trigger Finger.• Timely access to reduce waiting times and achievement of the 18 week referral to treatment target.• Community based provision, offering an alternative to secondary care• Clinically effective treatments that reduce the demand on secondary care (acute) services and reduce the need for more costly interventionsFurther details, to include contract duration will be made available at a later date to those organisations who have registered their interest in this service.Organisations wishing to express an interest and provide additional procurement-specific information should provide the following details by email to olena.florek@nhs.net or Elizabeth.johnson1@nhs.net by Friday 31stAugust 2017.
