Pipeline Framework: Residential Unit for Looked After Children – Market Engagement Event – 13th June 2023
A pipeline has been launched for Residential Unit for Looked After Children – Market Engagement Event – 13th June 2023.The contract start Date is 1 April 2024. Approach to market date is 17 September 2023.The London Borough of Camden commissions a Residential Unit for Looked After Children aged between 12 and17 years old.The service is based in Camden and has capacity to house 8 children. The children and young people are Looked After by the Council in line with the requirements of the Children Act 1989 and the Children Act 2004. The children referred to the service will have varying and complex needs. Many will have experienced family breakdown and or history of unsuccessful placements. Alongside this they may have experienced physical, emotional sexual abuse, child criminal exploitation and/or be at risk of significant harm. Many will be traumatised by their experiences. Children placed in this service will have access to wrap around services, including health, education and when needed, support from CAMHS.The current contract is due to expire on 31st March 2024, therefore we would like to discuss our vision for this service and to alert you to proposed timetable for the tender process.This is a potential opportunity from the government, and the pipeline gives advance notice of an opportunity that might be offered by the public sector in the future – allowing potential suppliers to plan accordingly.
