Pipeline Framework: VAWG Prevention Plan
A pipeline has been launched for VAWG Prevention Plan. The contract start Date is 1 December 2023. Approach to market date is 29 September 2023.The Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) and the Violence Reduction unit (VRU) invite you to respond to this Invitation to Quote for the development of a long-term Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Prevention Plan.A long-term VAWG Prevention Plan is a key commitment outlined in the Mayor’s Tackling VAWG 2022-25 Strategy. The Plan will detail the strategic interventions that City Hall, alongside key partners across London’s statutory and voluntary sectors, should take to prevent VAWG in the short, medium and long term. The plan’s scope is ambitious, encompassing prevention across all forms of VAWG – including (but not limited to) domestic abuse, harmful practices, sexual harassment, sexual violence, and online harms – spanning up to a maximum of 15 years. The plan should be developed with a culturally sensitive and intersectional approach. Its development will be overseen by a governance group representing a range of VAWG organisations and experts from across sectors in London. The commissioned supplier will be expected to undertake a range of activities, ideally commencing in December 2023, that includes:1. Mapping the ‘as is’ of prevention activity across City Hall (and where capacity allows, across London);2. Building an evidence base of effective prevention activity drawing on local, national and international approaches;3. Engaging with key partners, victim survivors and service-users across London to discuss commitment on long-term prevention activities;4. Developing a long-term prevention plan that builds on prevention best practice and engagement with stakeholders. This is an exciting project integral to the successful delivery of the Mayor’s VAWG Strategy. We are looking for suppliers with strong experience of stakeholder engagement, strategy development, and broad knowledge of VAWG. Consortium bids and other partnership approaches are strongly encouraged. If you are interested in this opportunity, please email VAWG@mopac.london.gov.uk with the title “VAWG Prevention Plan Tender Interest” by no later than Friday 29th September 2023 at 10am. Once we receive your email, the Invitation to Quote documentation and submission deadline will be emailed to you. You can then decide whether you wish to submit a bid.For further information, please hold the date for our online market warming event, on Tuesday 26th September, 1-2pm. To attend this event please email vawg@mopac.london.gov.uk to be on the invitation list. This is a potential opportunity from the government, and the pipeline gives advance notice of an opportunity that might be offered by the public sector in the future – allowing potential suppliers to plan accordingly. When a public sector organisation publishes a pipeline notice, it does not necessarily mean that an opportunity will be offered in the future. For more information contact: Mayor’S Office For Policing & Crime, 169 Union Street, Southwark SE1 0LL.
