Pipeline Framework: Waste & Recycling for Norwich
A pipeline has been launched for Waste & Recycling for Norwich.The contract start Date is 1 April 2023. Approach to market date is 30 November 2022.Contracts for business waste and recycling services across the city. To include food waste and opportunities to maximise upcycling opportunities.The contracts are open ended.Individual contract with businesses will be issued based on a collective price.The objectives of the contract are:Provision of a simple and cost-effective solution to help businesses in Norfolk to increase their recycling and upcycling rateA single preferred supplier could reduce the number of vehicles passing through the city centreA shared procurement scheme should create economies of scale, resulting in significant cost savings for local businessesSet up a measurement system to assess rates of recyclingThis is a potential opportunity from the government, and the pipeline gives advance notice of an opportunity that might be offered by the public sector in the future – allowing potential suppliers to plan accordingly.
