Plan for 750 homes next to Old Trafford cricket ground
Trafford Council is working with development firm Bruntwood Works on large-scale plans to build 750 homes, a leisure centre, a 100-room hotel and a primary school opposite Old Trafford cricket ground.The mixed-use scheme has been unveiled for public consultation ahead of plans being submitted to build on the former Kellogg’s site in Stretford.The council’s proposals also include the possible development of a new public piazza and ‘processional route’ linking Lancashire Cricket Club with Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium.The strategic vision is being created with consultancy team Avison Young, Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios and Planit-IE.
