Proposals have been submitted for 713 homes on farmland at Staplegrove – with a similar sized application for the other end of the village expected soon.The scheme on the west side of an area allocated for development would also include a site for employment, green infrastructure and play areas. The application from Ptarmigan Staplegrove Ltd is for outline planning permission, meaning precise details would be revealed at a later date if it gets the go ahead from Taunton Deane Council.An application for the eastern part is “expected shortly”, according to a council spokeswoman, although the authority has no control over the date.
