Developers have secured planning permission to start construction on a £25m eco hotel in Yorkshire to be operated by Campbell Gray Hotels.Baca Architects, working on behalf of Rothgen Group, will create the iconic Tyram Lakes Hotel and Spa as part of a wider eco-development around a series of lakes at the 165-acre site. The hotel will feature 104 bedrooms, conference and meeting facilities, a fine dining restaurant with lakeside views, and indoor pool, leisure club, spa, gymnasium, and a wedding and party venue.Fifth eco lodges, currently under construction, will float amongst reed beds at the side of one of the lakes, with the hotel and spa set to serve lodge residents as well as guests when the project is complete. The application to build the green resort was approved by Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council in December 2016, commencing with the first phase of 50 eco-lodges constructed from timber and incorporating the latest environmentally-friendly technologies. The long-term vision for Tyram Lakes Resort is to develop a total of 100 plus lakeside and floating lodges as well as lodges placed within the woodlands.
