A new health and care facility is to be built on Howes Road in Northfield under plans submitted by Aberdeen Health and Social Care Partnership (ACHSCP).An acre of land next to Orchard Brae and Heathryburn schools has been earmarked for the £8.1 million facility, which would consist of eight consulting rooms for GPs, further rooms for nursing staff and a waiting area for patients. The proposals also include 18 parking spaces for staff and a further 36 for patients and visitors.Funding for the development was approved in April and, if approved, the new facility could welcome its first patients in early 2021.A design statement lodged by JM Architects said the facility would be “user-friendly” and “patient-orientated”.
