Plans brought forward for job-creating regeneration scheme
Plans have been brought forward for a new £16m regeneration scheme in Darlington expected to create hundreds of new jobs.Almscliffe Properties has lodged plans to redevelop brownfield land located close to the A68/Faverdale junction, currently occupied by a single office.The scheme involves the construction of a 40,000 sq ft Tesco food store and associated petrol filling station, alongside a drive thru McDonald’s restaurant, Costa coffee shop and commercial unit.The project is expected to create approximately 200 jobs upon completion, as well as employment opportunities during the construction phase.
