Plans have been filed for a new housing development on an existing farm aiming to bring more than 200 new homes to Kirkby-in-AshfieldGleeson Regeneration has brought forward the proposals for 214 new homes Land at Coxmoor Lodge Farm. The developer submitted the plans on behalf of the site’s vendors.The scheme comprises a mixture of two, three and four-bed properties. The two-bed units are all semi-detached, the three-beds are a combination of semi-detached and detached and the four-beds are all intended to be detached.On plot garages and driveways, or spaces for both, will be provided for each property, along with private front and rear garden areas.Measuring approximately 18 acres, the application site is located to the north east of the town and sits within the current Ashfield Local Plan Review.The scheme makes provision for two points of vehicular access, off Walesby Drive and the current entrance to the north of the junction between Farm View Road, Coniston Road and Harris Road.A statement filed with Ashfield District Council on behalf of the applicant said: The proposal seeks to bring forward a significant amount of much needed low-cost housing with a mix of typologies affordable to the local population.
