Plans filed for up to 120 Leicestershire homes
Plans have been submitted for the construction of up to 120 homes on greenfield land in Leicestershire.Davidsons Developments Ltd is seeking outline permission to develop land north of Kirkby Road in Desford. The applicant said the scheme would comprise a mix of sizes and types, including a 40 per cent allocation of affordable housing.A statement filed with Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council on behalf of Davidsons said: “The application site represents a very logical and natural addition to Desford.”It is well contained by existing residential development to the north and east, whilst the site presents significant opportunity to provide a landscaped buffer to the south and west.”As such, the development would be viewed in the context of the existing residential development either side of the application site and not result in the erosion of the countryside.”
