Plans for £20m distribution base revealed

A manufacturer of kitchen and bathroom products is to invest £20m in a new base at Worcester Six Business Park.Kohler Mira, parent company of UK shower brand Mira Showers, will create the new distribution, training and office unit at the site.It is the fourth business to sign up for Worcester Six and already has operations in Gloucester and Cheltenham.The company is initially investing more than £20m in the first phase of its 11.3-acre development and construction could start on site before the end of the year, subject to planning consent. The scheme is set to be delivered by Stoford Developments.Phase one could be completed by April 2019 while Birmingham-based Stoford Developments has been appointed to deliver the first phase.The reserved matters planning application was submitted on Tuesday 17 July to Wychavon District Council.The first phase of the scheme will include a 158,000 sq ft unit with a further phase delivering up to an additional 100,000 sq ft.
