Plans for £500m Thames riverside fire station site called in
The Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government has called in plans for a £500m mixed use scheme at 8 Albert Embankment on the Thames riverside.Developer U+I was given the green light by Lambeth Planning Committee late last year with construction scheduled to start on site in 2021.The scheme is a joint venture with the London Fire Commissioner and will deliver 145,000 sq ft of office, hotel and retail space alongside 443 new homes and a new fire station and museum.
