Plans for future of housing
Work is to begin on a new strategy identifying the type of housing needed in Warrington in the coming years.Warrington Borough Council will be consulting with a range of partners early next year to support the development of a new housing strategy for the town. These will include several organisations in Warrington and other areas who have an interest in housing for the borough and will help inform the strategy. The blueprint is expected to launch by summer 2022.The three-year plan will set out the council’s approach to the future of housing in Warrington. It aims to specifically address the demand for different types of housing and will support and work in concert with the emerging Local Plan. The strategy will look at how the council can work in co-ordination with partners, both from the public and private sector. This is to help turn the strategy into delivery, as well as the timescales for this delivery.
