Plans for Halsnead Garden Village progress as new homes approved
The latest application for new homes at Halsnead Garden Village has been approved.Forth Homes Construction submitted the application for 43 new homes on land at Windy Arbor Brow and Windy Arbor Road in Whiston.The homes will consist of 14 one and two bedroom apartments and 29 two, three and four bedroom houses. The properties will be a mix of detached, semi-detached and a terrace, together with a three-storey apartment block. All but one of the new homes will be affordable housing. The decision by Knowsley Council to grant planning permission is subject to Forth Homes complying with 36 planning conditions.Once complete Halsnead Garden Village will be the largest combined housing and employment development in the Liverpool City Region. It will have approximately 1,600 new quality homes and at least 22.5 hectares of employment land. The development will also provide 33 hectares of new greenspaces and a new, 28-hectare country park.
