Plans for new community and sports pavilion in Welney are approved
Villagers in Welney have a new community and sports pavilion to look forward to.Planning permission has been granted for the new single-storey building on the village playing field.The project to replace the dilapidated village hall and playing field pavilion has been in the pipeline for years and the new hall is being specially designed to support a wide range of sports and village activities.Welney Parish Council have been successful in raising the £222,000 needed for the new building with help from the Marshals Charity Welney, WREN’s FCC Communities Fund and the Sport England Inspired Facilities Fund.
