Plans in for 111,000 sq ft school development
Plans to build a 111,000 sq ft school, which would have capacity for 700 students, have been revealed.The proposals are earmarked for Ulidia Integrated College in Carrickfergus, with the application coming forward on the back of two consultation events being held last year.The new school would be built to the front of the existing one on Victoria Road.It would comprise 43 classrooms including a multi-purpose hall, a sports hall, a gym, resource areas and changing facilities across two and three-storey buildings.The establishment has been designed to be “appropriate of its context and location in a small-town scape”.
