Plans in for affordable village housing scheme
Plans have been submitted for a new affordable housing scheme within a Shropshire village.Shropshire Towns and Rural Housing is seeking the go-ahead from Shropshire Council to build 40 affordable residential properties on land south of Aspen Grange in Weston Rhyn.The application site measures approximately 4.2 acres and is part of a larger field used for grazing.The scheme comprises 12 houses, four general need bungalows and 24 independent living units, split between a mixture of two and three bedrooms.Each housing plot has its own private driveway with parking for two cars.A statement filed with the council on behalf of the applicant said that the scheme aims to provide “a mix of affordable housing that addresses local housing need” and an “ambitious independent living scheme for older people”.”
