Plans in for conversion of historic swimming baths
A historic former swimming baths in Hull could be converted into apartments if newly submitted plans get the green light.Piercy Design, on behalf of East Hull Baths Ltd, has submitted a full-planning application to Hull City Council for the redevelopment of East Hull Pools on Holderness Road.The East Hull Pools building opened in 1898 and was the first swimming bath built in the city. It closed in 2018 following the redevelopment of the Woodford Leisure Centre.Planning permission is now sought for the change of use and conversion of the building to provide 24 residential flats.The existing ground floor gym, sauna and showers will also be refurbished for occupiers, and 35 car parking spaces provided, following demolition of the boiler house.
