Plans in for landmark housing developments second phase
Detailed plans for hundreds of homes, which represent the second phase of a landmark development in Bromsgrove, have been submitted.Taylor Wimpey is seeking reserved matters approval for the construction of 437 units on land at Perryfields Road.The Perryfields Road development site is located to the south of the intersection between the M5 and the M42, extending to approximately 178 acres.Outline permission was granted for the wider scheme, comprising 1,300 properties, in 2021. Detailed plans for the first phase of almost 150 homes were approved last year.Phase two would feature a range of housing types from one-bedroom apartments to four-bedroom houses, 30 per cent of which are intended to be affordable.A statement filed with Bromsgrove District Council on behalf of the applicant said: “The proposals contained within the associated reserved matters application are fully compliant with the ideas and principles established at the outline planning stage and through the subsequent site wide design code.”As well as this, they will also lead to the creation of a well-considered, well-connected and well-rooted place within which the new community at Perryfields can thrive.”
