Plans in for landmark retirement village

Plans have been submitted for a landmark Derbyshire retirement village which aims to provide hundreds of residential units and new commercial and support facilities.Prospection Ltd is seeking outline approval to redevelop 21.6-acres of land adjacent to Alfreton Golf Club.The scheme comprises 240 homes, proposed as a mix of one- and two-bed apartments and houses.A village hub is included in the plans, providing essential residential care and support for the community, as well as facilities for recreation and conveniences.Facilities include a café/deli, a convenience store, beauty salon, surgery and clubhouse.Working together with Alfreton Golf Club, the development seeks to provide additional activities for the community.The owner of the land has agreed in principle to sell the adjacent field to the golf course as recreational land for golfing activities, which will be submitted for planning application as the next phase.
