Plans in for latest Kirkstall Forge development
CEG has submitted plans for the latest phase of commercial development at the £400m Kirkstall Forge scheme in Leeds.Designed by Cooper Cromar architects, the proposed development would comprise 200,000 sq ft of commercial space, with leisure and retail space on the ground floor and flexible office accommodation with open floor places from 11,000 sq ft.Two office buildings will be created, with a concealed dedicated car park between them. They will offer electric car charging, a cycle spa, shower rooms, locker facilities, as well as outdoor rooms and balcony features.The top four floors of the first 110,000 sq ft office development at the Kirkstall Forge site are now Zenith’s headquarters, with the remaining three floors housing Mercedes-Benz Vans UK Ltd, Bupa, CEG and Butlers restaurant and bar.Ultimately, the £400m Kirkstall Forge scheme is set to comprise 1,050 new homes, 300,000 sq ft of offices and 100,000 sq ft of retail, leisure and community space.
