A trio of large warehouses which could together support the creation of more than 500 jobs could be built on a site in Leeds if newly submitted plans get the go-ahead.Log Real SARL, supported by David Lock Associates, has submitted a full planning application to Leeds City Council for development of a 29.5-acre site in Stourton. The site currently comprises four early 1970’s warehouses, two adjoined workshops and a late 1970’s office bloc. It was previously the Maritime Transport Leeds Container Depot.Planning permission is sought for the construction of three warehouse units with ancillary offices together measuring about 565,000 sq ft (gross external area). The units would measure 337,021 sq ft, 78,900 sq ft and 149,243 sq ft.The plans also include cycle, motorcycle and car parking with EV charging, as well as loading yards, HGV parking and a new junction off Leodis Way to provide access. It has been estimated that the three new buildings would support the creation of about 525 jobs when complete.
