Plans in for major Temple Meads mixed-use scheme
Plans to transform a landmark site on the approach to Bristol’s Temple Meads, which would feature hundreds of new homes, a school and student accommodation, have been lodged.Feeder Estates, a partnership managed by Square Bay, has submitted a planning application for the regeneration of the Silverthorne Lane site.The mixed-use development comprises 367 homes, 80,000 sq ft of employment space for commercial and community uses and extensive public realm works.The homes would be delivered by Studio HIVE and Atlas Land.It would also feature a 1,600-place secondary school and sixth form operated by Oasis Learning.The student accommodation element of the development would provide rooms for 841 students.Square Bay is also behind the regeneration of Brandon Yard in Bristol’s Harbourside.
