Plans in for mixed-use city centre scheme
Plans have been lodged for a seven-storey mixed-use development in the centre of Sheffield which would provide accommodation for more than 60 students.Trippet Property Ltd has submitted an application to Sheffield city council for the redevelopment of a site at the junction of Trippet Lane and Bailey Lane.The proposal covers the demolition of the existing building on the site and construction of a new seven-storey property.The new building would comprise 63 student bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms in 13 clusters. The basement will also be used for cycle storage.Commercial space will be provided on the ground floor, with a glazed street facade to Trippet Lane. These units are expected to provide ‘spill out’ opportunities for Al Fresco dining.
