Up to 69 new flats could be created in Birmingham’s Gun Quarter, according to new plans.Laybrook Investments is behind the bid to demolish a group of buildings in Price Street and build the new apartments in properties up to five-storeys high.BPN Architects has drawn up the plans which are set to be ruled on by Birmingham City Council later this year.A statement submitted to the council on behalf of the applicant said: “The site presents an opportunity to reduce the housing shortage in Birmingham by utilising low density brownfield land to make a positive contribution to the established and growing residential community in the area.
