Plans lodged for £15m student accommodation scheme
Plans have been lodged for a £15m, 18-storey student accommodation scheme in Leeds city centre that could provide almost 100 flats.Q Property Ltd has submitted an application to Leeds City Council for a part 11-, part 18-storey student housing scheme on a site adjacent to Q One on Wade Lane.The new building would feature 98 studio flats as well as associated communal facilities for students.The scheme also proposes to upgrade a public right of way adjacent the site to improve the link between the First Direct Arena to the north with the New Briggate Area to the south. Pre-application plans for the development were previously presented to the council’s city plans panel in December 2017.The aims to create a gateway building in the north of the city centre in close proximity to the main university campuses.
