Plans lodged for almost 300 Nottingham apartments
Plans have been submitted for almost 300 apartments in blocks rising to 18 storeys as part of a wider redevelopment project in Nottingham.MRP Nottingham Ltd has brought forward detailed proposals for 274 residential properties on Queens Road. The application site comprises a plot of relatively flat brownfield land that was formerly occupied by four single-storey commercial units until they were demolished in late-2022/early-2023.Lined up is a mix of build-to-rent studios, one- to three-bed apartments and shared four- and five-bed apartments. This represents the second phase of the site’s redevelopment, with phase one comprising a 406-bed student accommodation scheme which is currently under construction.A statement filed with Nottingham City Council on behalf of the applicant said: “The site of the proposed development is in a highly accessible and sustainable city centre location.”It will redevelop an underutilised site for residential use and add to the choice of housing available in the city centre.”
