Plans lodged for BTR development extension

Birmingham-based property developer Cordia Blackswan has submitted a planning application for an extension to The Lamp Works, a BTR development expected to provide almost 150 apartments.Located on the site of a former textile and furniture factory and close to Jewellery Quarter pub the Lord Clifton, The Lamp Works is a residential led mixed-use scheme, providing a mix of 125 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments.The newly submitted application is for an additional 23 apartments and two commercial units.Once complete, The Lamp Works will comprise six blocks and will feature communal facilities such as a shared lounge, co-working space, studio and communal kitchen/diner.The Lamp Works will also provide a selection of ground floor commercial units, fronting Great Hampton Street and Harford Street.If approved, construction of the extension will begin in 2022 with apartments ready for occupation in 2023.
