Hundreds of new homes could be built on sites in Sheffield if newly submitted plans get the green light.Sheffield Housing Company (SHC), a joint-venture between Sheffield City Council, Keepmoat and Great Places Housing Group, has lodged plans for residential developments in the Manor area of the city.Planning permission is sought for the construction of 210 homes on the Manor 12 and 13 sites. The proposed development would feature a mix of two-, three- and four-bedroom houses, with both detached and semi-detached properties. It includes a number of homes around ‘The Circle’, which has been recognised as a key feature of the area.SHC has also submitted an application for the Pennine Village site in Manor. This scheme proposes the construction of 101 homes, with a mix of two-, three- and four-bedroom properties. Detached, semi-detached, and terraced housing would be provided. The applications form part of SHC’s fifth phase of development, which is set to comprise 358 homes in total. Phases 1 and 2 have previously been completed, with work on the Manor 10 and 11 and Phase 3 sites currently ongoing. Both projects are supported by JTP Architects, Eastwood & Partners, Weddle Landscape Design and EDGE Property Consultants.SHC was established in 2011 and has a 15-year plan to build 2,300 new homes on about 150 acres of local authority-owned land across Sheffield.
