Plans lodged for industrial units at East Yorkshire business park
Plans have been lodged for a new development of industrial units at an East Yorkshire business park.The Broadhelm Venture, supported by DSP Architects, has submitted an application to East Riding of Yorkshire Council for development at Broadhelm Business Park in Pocklington.Full planning permission is sought for two block featuring seven units with integrated offices.The development would measure 24,300 sq ft in total, with units of between 3,300 sq ft and 4,500 sq ft. They would be suitable for business, general industrial, and storage and distribution uses (B1, B2 and B8).A total of 54 parking spaces would also be provided.A design and access statement submitted as part of the application said the proposed development would “be a significant addition to the employment numbers, opportunities and skill ranges in this area and add to the local economic infrastructure”.The site adjacent to that of the application has consent for two buildings incorporating nine industrial units.The wider site, to the east of Pocklington Airfield Industrial Estate, has previously been granted planning permission for commercial units, hotel, restaurant, bar, leisure and conference complex.
