Plans lodged for up to 150 homes
An application has been submitted proposing the construction of up to 150 homes on agricultural land in Great Barr.Wain Estates has lodged outline plans for a development on approximately 66.7 acres of low-grade agricultural land north of Wilderness Lane.It is intended that 40 per cent of the development be allocated as affordable housing.A countryside park of about 7.6 acres is also lined up.A planning statement said: “The final development will provide a range of different size homes to provide a mixed and balanced community.”The development will include a hierarchy of street types that will have different functions and design characteristics to support variations in character, placemaking and a distinctive built environment.”
