Plans revealed for £9.8m care facility
Plans have been revealed for a £9.8m extra care facility on Anglesey featuring a dedicated dementia wing.The scheme, to be known as Hafan Cefni, will feature 63 modern apartments for residents aged over 55. It is being built on the site of the former Ysgol y Bont School in Llangefni.The building will comprise 19 two-bedroom and 44 one-bedroom apartments and will also include a community café open to Llangefni residents. Liverpool-based practice John McCall Architects designed the scheme for T? Glas Housing Society, which is part of the Pennaf Housing Group, working in partnership with the Isle of Anglesey County Council and the Welsh Government.The project is funded mainly through private finance arranged by T? Glas, supported by £1.4m Welsh Government funding secured by Anglesey Council.
