Plans revealed for affordable housing scheme on site of furniture storeAn affordable housing provider has revealed plans to bring forward a 34-flat scheme in inner city Nottingham.Jigsaw Homes wants to demolish a former furniture warehouse on Sherwin Road in Lenton and build the residential scheme in its place. The car park would also be built upon, according to planning documents.The development would be made up of two blocks of flats; the first made up of 23 homes and the second of 11.A planning statement reads: “The proposal makes effective use of the disused land to provide a meaningful contribution towards the housing needs within Lenton and the city of Nottingham.”Jigsaw Homes is of the largest housing groups in England with more than 35,000 homes across the North West and East Midlands.
