Plans revealed for multimillion-pound Preston scheme
Plans for a £25.7m residential scheme in Preston which could support more than 100 jobs have been revealed.Turley has drawn up proposals on behalf of Redrow Homes for a plot to the north of the company’s existing Tabley Green scheme. It forms part of the wider North West Preston Strategic Location.Proposed are 200 homes with car parking, private gardens, an internal roads network and areas of landscaped open space.While the mix of housing would be confirmed at the reserved matters stage, it is envisaged that the development would comprise two, three and four-bed properties, predominantly of two-storeys.Of the 200, a total of 30 per cent would be affordable.A planning statement submitted to Preston City Council notes that the estimated investment during the construction phase would be £25.7m, with 50 gross jobs and 45 direct jobs set to be supported. A further 20 indirect roles would also be brought forward.The total GVA economic output over the build period would be about £19.2m.
