Plans revealed for Penrhyn Bay coastal defences
Plans for coastal defences and promenade improvements at Penrhyn Bay have been unveiled.Conwy County Borough Council has published the proposals to improve coastal defences along Penrhyn Bay promenade, with an opportunity for the public to comment before a planning application.The proposals include building an offshore T-shaped breakwater between the two existing groynes and importing 55,000 m? of small-sized shingle to sit in front of the seawall.Improvements to the promenade are also included, with a new accessible beach ramp, improved stepped beach access, a beach shower and cycle stands. The plans propose relocating street car parking to be next to the new ramp and installing a new crossing on Glan Y Mor Road.
