Plans submitted for 66-bed care home
Plans for a 66-bed care home for Exeter have been submitted for consideration to the city’s council.The application for the home comes from provider Barchester Healthcare which has built 19 care homes, a hospital, and three small retirement communities over the past five years.The company currently cares for around 11,000 people in 200 care homes and is seeking permission to develop a 1.12 acre site on Cumberland Way, around 500m west of the M5.The proposed three storey building would support around 60 jobs and cost around £500,000.
