Plans submitted for former transport club site
Plans have been submitted to convert a former transport club, car park and car repair centre in Exeter into student accommodation and commercial space.If approved, the plans for the site on Summerland Street, could create up to 183 jobs.The plans represent phase two of a development, with phase one already approved.Up to 102 student beds would be included, plus nine penthouse suites and three retail units with a total of 36,877 sq ft of space.Subject to approval, developers are planning to commence work in July, with work completed by September 2019, concurrently with phase one.
