Plans submitted for latest Waverley homes
Plans have been lodged for the latest phase of housing at the Waverley development in South Yorkshire.Harworth Group has submitted a reserved matters application to Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council for development on land off Rivelin Way, representing Lakeview (phase 4C) at Waverley.Planning permission is sought for a total of 87 homes, with a mix of two-, three- and four-bedroom properties.Plot 4C is part of a Harworth project to develop 100 Net Zero carbon homes. It would be the housebuilder’s largest Net Zero carbon scheme.A planning statement submitted as part of the application said: “The proposed development facilitates the continued growth and delivery of the consented development at Waverley New Community. It also provides Harworth and RMBC the opportunity to deliver an exemplar Net Zero carbon development.”Plans were submitted earlier this year for a development of 177 homes at Waverley.In November 2023, planning permission was granted for a new high street at the Waverley scheme.In total, Harworth’s plans comprise up to 3,890 homes, shops, restaurants, a primary school, leisure and community facilities and 310 acres of open space.
