Plans to build 2,350 homes in Chesterton, Cirencester have been proposed
Plans have been proposed for a new housing development in Chesterton in Cirencester.The plans have been put forward by developer Bathurst Development Ltd.They propose that 2,350 homes would be built on a 9.1 acre site alongside a new primary school, a doctor’s surgery, a community club and a sports centre. There will also be 100 student properties and 60 homes specifically designed for elderly residents.The draft plans suggest that the development would be built to the south side of Cirencester, neighbouring Chesterton.The plans are in-line with Cotswold District Council’s emerging Local Plan that will see a 7,500 homes built in the district over the next 20 years with suggestions that large proportions of the housing built being classed as affordable housing.
