Plans unveiled for next phase of major Leeds scheme

Proposals for the latest phase of a major regeneration development in Leeds, including two new office buildings and a multi-storey car park, have been unveiled.The first 110,000 sq ft office development at the Kirkstall Forge site is occupied by tenants including Zenith, Mercedes-Benz Vans UK Ltd, Bupa, CEG and Butlers restaurant and bar. A new railway station has also opened at the site.Ultimately, the £400m Kirkstall Forge scheme is set to comprise 1,050 new homes, 300,000 sq ft of offices and 100,000 sq ft of retail, leisure and community space.Plans for the latest phase of the development will be presented to Leeds City Council’s South West Plans Panel on 4 July 2019.The proposals comprise two new eight-storey office buildings to be set either site of a 839-space multi-storey car park. About 200,000 sq ft of commercial space is set to be created.The development will also include electric vehicle charging points, cycle storage and showers.
