Primark ‘no comment’ over new Tamworth shopping development
Clothing giant Primark has plans for new store in Tamworth.The new shopping development on the site of the former Gungate Precinct could be open as early as next year according to new reports.Others were hoping that the development would attract some small independent businesses.Developers Henry Boot revealed plans for the site, which is currently used as a makeshift council car park.The new plans show 42,000 square feet of retail/leisure space divided into seven units, along with car parking for 246 cars.Plans sketched out by the site’s developers Henry Boot suggest that the scheme has a ‘potential’ opening date of late summer 2017.
