Projekt 42 secures £44,000 to expand in Edinburgh
Projekt 42, the social enterprise focused on mental health, has secured £44,000 of funding to build a new community gym and wellness centre.The money has come from five different organisations and will allow the Edinburgh-based charity to build on the success of its pilot programme in Leith, in which more than 400 people benefited from enhanced wellbeing. The cash will go towards opening a larger, tailor-made centre on Halmyre Street in 2018.It will offer a variety of services ranging from fitness classes, yoga and nutrition classes to life coaching, mindfulness activities and counselling.A planning application has been lodged for the new centre with assistance from developer Buccleuch Property, which brought together a team of experts to work on the project free of charge.
