Prologis to develop huge Herts scheme
Logistics real estate giant Prologis has secured permission for its 35-acre site at Maylands Gateway in Hemel Hempstead.The company acquired the Maylands Gateway site from the Homes and Communities Agency this March. Plans include a seven-unit scheme totalling 585,000 sq ft together with a £2m investment in local highway infrastructure.The new Prologis Park Hemel Hempstead, which has the potential to create more than 750 new jobs, will almost double Prologis’ ownership within the town, which already supports about 1,000 jobs.Maylands Gateway is close to Junction 8 of the M1 and four miles from Junction 21 of the M25, providing immediate access to Greater London and the wider national motorway network.The application has gained a resolution to grant planning permission from Dacorum Borough Council.
