Proposals revealed for Reading apartments
Plans to transform a site in Reading have been submitted.The application concerns 80 London Street, which currently has permission for a commercial use.Several properties on the road have gained planning consent for a conversion to residential accommodation due to the “lack of demand for office accommodation”.There has also been “little interest in leasing the building as an office due to the lack of parking and home working since Covid”.Proposed is transforming the site to create seven serviced apartments with a reception on the ground floor.The application is with Reading Borough Council.
